Ah yes number five, portrayed by Peter Davison. At the time he was the youngest actor to play the Doctor and, as a little side information, he is one of my favorite Doctors. His Doctor was a drastic turn around from Tom Baker's Doctor. He was, arguably, the most human of Doctors, the more likely to be a follower instead of taking command of a situation. This Doctor also hated violence and yet his stories featured heavily that subject, especially death. It was due to this in fact that one of his companions left him and he even had one of his companions die. This Doctor is also famous for having the privilege of being the only Classic series Doctor to appear in the revived series. He appeared in a special Children in Need episode that was written by Steven Moffat, the current showrunner. that episode, named Time Crash, showed us that age and time had not caused his acting to entropy, he could still be the Doctor when called to be.
The Fifth Doctor
The vulnerable human Doctor
A follower not a leader with a great abhorrence to violence and bloodshed
Communication and diplomacy were his weapons of choice
Met his end at the hands of a deadly poison on Androzani Minor
