The Sixth Doctor

The sixth Doctor, hated by many at the time due to he nature and his coat. Which is a shame as I find the coat to be rather wonderful if I am terribly honest. This was a time when Doctor Who came under attack from all sides, it was put ion hiatus for a number of months and when it came back it was with a long reaching story line which lasted the enter season, The Trial of the Time Lord it was called and it was as if the show was on trial itself. After that season end Colin Baker, who portrayed the Doctor was asked to come back to film a regeneration and then he would be replaced. Colin, obviously, refused this and stated, quite rightly, that he would be happy to do a further season and then regenerate. The BBC never got back to him about it and the next thing he knew Doctor Who was back on the screen with a different Doctor. Perhaps what is most admirable about Colin is that he never wished Doctor Who ill will despite the events of his departure, he has always been a firm supporter of the show.

The Sixth Doctor
The unpredictable Doctor
A brash exterior hid this Doctor’s determination to defeat evil
More accepting of death and violence, murdering when he deemed it necessary
His end is wrapped in confusion and different theories
Was forced to Lakertya by the Rani as he regenerated
